Just thought I would share one of my wonderful kitties modeling my new bath cloth. I made one last weekend and realized that I LOVE crocheted wash cloths much better than store bought ones. So I made a more pretty one and I love it. I hope you like it too!

Crochet Cue-Tip Cup.
I decided I had to have one when I was cleaning the bathroom this morning. So here you have it. I will post pictures sometime this weekend. This is the first pattern I actually wrote down. You can sell any items you make just please if someone asks refer them to my blog so they can get it to.
Crochet Cue-Tip Cup
Materials
- Small amount of yarn
- Cardboard tp roll
- Hot glue gun
I cut the tp roll to the height I wanted it and then I taped the bottom of it so they wouldn't fall out. You could crochet a bottom. Just a flat circle or something but I was in a hurry.
For the crocheted cover:
1.Ch 25 join with slip stitch
2.Ch 2, DC in each stitch around and join to top of Ch 2
3. Repeat step 2 till you reach the height of your tp roll. * You may have to single crochet around if the dc is too tall for the last round but you still come up short.*
Fasten off!
Then I just sliped it over the cardboard roll and hot glued it in place in a few spots. Dropped in some cue-tips and now it resides in the upstaires bathroom. I will probably have this place totally covered in crochet everything here soon. Enjoy!

Christmas Crochet
I picked up a wreath from the dollar store and a bunch of christmasy nick naks and and for under $4 I made the following =-]
Then I pulled out the christmas yarn and made a homemade frosty. He's my first ami without a pattern. Yup I made him up myself. Wasn't too hard and I'm very proud of myself! Last christmas I could barely chain! Operation Homemade christmas is well on it's way!

Homemade Christmas
I know it sounds a bit early for christmas talk, BUT I have about a month and a half to get my house together, make a million ornaments, decorate the house, buy & make presents, and work full time. Totally insane. We bomed over the weekend due to EVIL fleas that won't die. Hopefully this did the trick. But now I'm way in over my head here. I have to wash EVERYTHING. Clothes, Dishes, Carpets, Counters, Both bathrooms. Plus work. My goal is to get the house done by friday. Then enjoy my weekend. We stopped working saturdays so if I get everything washed down by then I can relax. Spend much needed time with the boyfriend, and start crocheting and glueing my homemade christmas. My grandma is staying with us this year, so I want to make it extra special. I'm a list person. So bear with me this post is mainly to calm my own nerves and plan what I'm going to do.
Get House Clean
1. Start from top to bottom.
- Get together all clothes and put in basement in the massive pile that is threatning to eat my basement. Wash only what we wear and sort everything else to be washed after christmas when we get new washer.
- All dishes need taken out and washed
- Cats need a bath
- Borrow mom's vacume and carpet shampooer and have at it
- Re-arrange living room
- Get desk & entertainment stand from boyfriend's Dad's
- Get couch, loveseat, and chair from my parents the extra seating would be nice.
2. Start Operation Christmas ( haha I couldn't help myself )
- Check the dollar store!!
- Crochet my heart out!
* Crochet paper chain so we can use it for years to come
* Crochet ornaments
* Crochet Stockings
* Crochet gifts
- Put lights inside windows
- Put up our totally bare huge tree (We've never actually been able to celebrate a chistmas together due to circumstances but now that we've figured all that out this will be our first christmas living together. So we have quite literally nothing to start with expect a bare artificial tree that has a 6 1/2 ft girth. I mean the thing is massive I will so take pictures. lol )
- Get spare bed from mom's to put in craft room for my grandma
- Buy lots of red, green, & white yarn
- Buy a ton of glue for the glue gun
- Check around for some pretty silver, gold, christmasy yarn.
I told you I'm a list person. It makes it easier for me to actually get done what I want and not forget ideas I come up with. Happy Monday! not really but do enjoy your week. & if you read this entire post. Kudos!

Really cool star afgan
I started a new project for myself, for something to do between all these crazy scarfs I'm making.
& it's quickly growing because I don't want to put it down. So I have till saturday to work on it as much as I want because I'm going to buy more yarn for the other scarves I need to make on saturday.

Tomorrow's News Today
So I'm home from work & SUPER excited about what I acomplished this morning. I learned how to ripple =-]. Thanks to Attic24, for her amazing tutorial. I just had to share tonight! But now I'm off to bed and will post pics tomorrow morning!
Name the bunny =-]
Soooo, I finally got my butt in gear and took some pictures. Enjoy and don't poke too much fun at my beginners crochet skills.
I also just wanted to share my crochet cherries for my car.
thought this was adorable. No idea what I'll use it for but I don't care I thought it was cute.
Like I said it's a work in progress. That's part of my stash. & the ugly matress is a new project I have yet to take on. It was my old matress when I was living with my parents. It's a full size and VERY floppy so it's folded like a couch against the wall. & I'm going to buy a bright fitted sheet for it and crochet some crazy colorfull pillows & have some funky seating in my craft room. I'm really excited about it!
The scarf. I was so proud of myself over this. I did it in just two days. I'm giving it to a co-worker of mine, she kept hinting that grey was her favotite color ever since I took it to work to do on breaks.

I also started working on my craft room. I know I said I wanted to just not have one because we were trying for a baby. But we have decided to take the approach of if it happens it happens. I think we are stressing it too much. Plus future baby would probably stay in our room anyways and when the time comes we will move to a bigger place. So craft room is back on. I got all my stuff in it now. Ribbons, Yarn, Buttons, Supplies. You name it.

Part of my button stash. I really LOVE buttons. =-]
Meet the newest addition to my furry family. It's a boy and he needs a name. I want a real name. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! He's very friendly & not shy like most bunnies are at first. He warmed up to all of us in no time and is already terrorizing the cats. If you think you got the perfect name then try me. I'm open to anything.

MORE WORK
I've been so busy working. 6 days a week! It's nuts. I can't wait for it to slow down. No luck getting pregnant. But I did manage to crochet a scarf. & I'm halfway through another one. I'll post pictures soon I promise. I've been taking my yarn and hooks to work. & suprise everyone is like fasinated by it. I have people wanting to buy stuff off of me & people who want to learn. A few punks called me a grandma, but most think it's great that I have a hobby. One guy even teared up a bit because his grandma used to crochet before she died and he's 7 ft tall and she would make him blankets that could cover his feet. But unfortunately I need to sleep for I will never get pictures up or get through the day tomorrow.

Update
Not that anyone really follows anyways, but for my own sake I shall update. I got a job recently. 40 + hours a week and it's second shift. BOO! but the payout is nice. I seem to be having difficulty getting pregnant, the job is a much needed distraction from that frustration. I haven't crocheted anything due to simply being busy and my laundry pile is threatning to eat my basement. I am desperate to get the house together and stop moving stuff around. I don't know why it's so difficult to get settled here. But between cleaning and organizing and washing clothes and working and random snippits of baby making, I'm exausted. I really wanted to join in on a christmas swap this year but I just don't think I have the time for it at the moment and I don't want to commit to something I'm not sure I can do. I am however looking forward to a three day weekend, thanks to labor day. My goal is to have everything finished by this weekend so I can relax enjoy my time with Scott and maybe crochet something guilt free knowing I am finished with everything.

Computers...
My Dad has made every computer I've really ever had with the exception of my laptop. Well he is currently updateing my desktop and my laptop screen cracked. So I am not on as much as I'd like. I can only use the computer when I am at a friend's house for the time being. But I do have a lot to share once I finally get my computer back.

Nothing on my hook =-[
It's been over a week since I have really sat down and crocheted something, but with just moving and getting things together I really haven't had the time. So while I am up a bit late I just can't seem to sleep so I think it is time to pop in a dvd and dig out the patterns or maybe just make something up. =-]

So hopefully we will be getting even better news soon. sadly though we are holding off on the the craft room. No point if it's just going to be a babys room!

Pictures!
As promised. Now at the moment I can only post the new dining room paint job. So enjoy. I posted a before pic as well so you can see just how plain and boring it really was! & Ishall throw in a few pics of the place. We have only been here about a month. We are slowly painting and making it look like a home. My next room is going to be the craft room =-]

A bit obsessed
So, I have bought MORE yarn. I have like 6 skeins to ball. I'm cheap though. I wish I could afford to buy nice soft and exotic yarns, but I can't. I'm happy with my redheart yarn though. $2 a skein at Wally World, so all is well. I really need to get the house together. It is TRASHED. Beyond belief. But we've had friend's over and we did get the dining room painted. I want to get the spare room together. It's going to be my craft room! =D So much needs done. It pulls me away from my crocheting. I have been at Erin's for three days now. It's almost like we live at each other house's off and on. I love having close friends for once. I did make another crochet bug, a lot better looking than the first one I posted, and I crocheted a cupcake! But tomorrow I MUST go home. I need to get the house together. Well town home whatever you want to call it but it's the closest thing to a house we've ever lived in. So no pictures until tomorrow. Plus more updating. You wouldn't believe the sectional part we found by a dumpster. I feel like a bum but there was NOTHING wrong with it. & we could use the extra seating. So we called up a friend and hauled it to the house. It's nice and the cats approved of it almost right away. So tomorrow I shall post pics of the new bug, cupcake, dining room, and our new chaise looking sectional piece.
Peace, Mel

Granny
I just thought I would share my first granny square. I learned how to make them about two weeks ago. My friend Erin taught me how. I could crochet basics but could not for the life of me learn the granny square. I learn usually through youtube, watching how to videos. That's how I initially taught myself how to crochet. Then I figured out how to read patterns, and have gone from there but even watching videos and reading patterns did nothing to show me the way of the granny. Then Erin came back from a trip to her sister's and her sister taught her how and after my months on complaining that I can't figure it out she came back all excited to show me and successfully taught me how to crochet a granny. I got a little excited and just kept going, and going on it. So it's a bit big for a first granny. Then I ran out of the purple. So I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but it is what it is. Any idea's?
Feeling Buggy
I made this about a week ago. It's my first stuffed crochet animal looking thing. I got the free pattern at Wal*Mart for a bumble bee and I just altered the colors and kinda made my own version as a bug instead. I think it's cute. & Scott actually asked me to make him one that's black and red. He normally doesn't show much interest in my crochet, just makes sure I got enough yarn to be happy. lol So I'm excited that he wanted one. It took me three hours to make. I know it's not perfect but I'm proud of it.
A bit about me.
My name is Melissa, I'm 19 nearing 20 years old. I'm a bit off for my age. I mean I sit at home, I clean house, talk to cats, and crochet. Icrochet. But I'm still learning I'm not the best at it, but I'm proud of what I can do. I live with my boyfriend Scott. We have no kids, but I have four amazing cats. Princess, Maximus, Isabella, and our newest addition, Scruffie. I am new to crochet and I'm sure the things I make aren't perfect, but I hope you enjoy what I post, and I hope you enjoy my blogs.
